City of Englewood, Colorado
Home MenuMarketing
Downtown Englewood’s unique character, colorful history and inherent friendliness – what makes it special – is largely an untold story. EDDA is working to describe our walkable small city downtown in ways that enhance civic pride, support local businesses and property owners, and draw customers and new activity Downtown.
In recent years, Englewood has quietly attracted residents because of its affordability and easy access to Downtown stores and services. New employers have found Englewood’s proximity to commuter light rail, Downtown Denver, southern office parks and major medical facilities appealing. These new residents and workers, plus those beyond Englewood’s borders, are new customers for Downtown businesses, generating new economic activity.
The EDDA works to:
- Create a distinct brand identity and basic marketing program to attract consumer spending and new investment in Downtown
- Enhance visibility and access to Downtown destinations and amenities
- Build community by promoting events and gatherings
- Keep Downtown stakeholders informed and engaged in District programs
Welcome To The Pop!
Downtown Englewood’s Flower Pop features quirky, flowery art starting mid-July 2024. Discover fancy stencil paintings, giant yarn bouquets, a huge colorful mural and a new Tabletop Tap brewpub patio! It’s a little bit crafty, a little bit retro Carnation City and all Downtown Englewood funk. This ah-some transformation starts in the alley at Girard Ave. just east of South Broadway, and winds around the corner to the east paseo. The project is an outgrowth of the South Broadway Public Realm Action Plan.
A Creative Mixer
EDDA helped create CitySpark StrollUp where people visiting CityCenter during two summer events can mingle with artists, innovators and storytellers.
Patio Partio
Patio Partio on July 13, 2024, marked a day of celebrating live music, art shows, games, summer treats, food specials and more on Downtown Englewood’s dozens of outdoor gathering spaces.
Lighting Up Downtown
Once again, a brilliant canopy of welcoming lights will decorate trees along South Broadway from Hampden to Eastman Street! Look for garlands and more festive illumination on Downtown light poles. Seasonal décor is courtesy of EDDA and the Parks Department.
