In order to efficiently respond to requests and manage the employment of off-duty police officers, The Englewood, CO Police Department has partnered with “Off Duty Management” to provide services related to hiring off-duty police officers effective November 11, 2024.

You may request to hire off-duty police officers through the Off Duty Management web-based service, OfficerTRAK®, or calling the number below.

Off-Duty Management provides the following to the customer:

• Full liability coverage for the customer, the agency, and the officer
• 24/7 customer service through their phone number
• Dedicated point of contact for scheduling, invoicing, and payroll.

Requests

All requests require a 3-hour minimum shift.

Holiday Rate*

The holiday rate will apply to the following days: New Year’s Eve., New Year’s Day, MLK Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day.

Emergency Rate**

If request is received less than 48 hours prior to assignment the emergency pay rate goes into effect

Vehicle Rate

Vehicle fee is a flat fee of $54.75 for the first 5 hours and will be $10.95 per hour after the initial 5 hours

 Customer canceling or reducing an assignment within 48 hours of the start of the assignment shall pay the greater of officer hours worked or the agency minimum hours plus ODM administrative fees for the first 24 hours of the original assignment.

Please note that this is off duty work performed by off duty police officers and because of that, the request may not be filled due to staffing constraints or lack of officer participation. The Englewood Police Department also has the right to refuse any off duty job request.
