About Us
The building office is a division of the Community Development Department. It offers a variety of services to assist citizens and contractors. The division is primarily responsible for ensuring that building structures in Englewood are safe and conform to uniform building codes.
Beginning July 1, 2024
- A Manual J and Manual D will be required for all HVAC replacements or additions. Both manuals must be calculated using an ACCA software.
- A Mid-roof Compliance Form will be required for all one and two-family residential re-roof. A link to the form can be found HERE.

Online Permit System
The City of Englewood utilizes a software system that allows for full electronic submittal of projects, permits and contractor licenses. The system provides for online payment thus eliminating the need for phone payments or office visits. Inspections are now requested using this system.
