Teen Citizen's Police Academy

Join us for the 2024 Englewood Police Citizen’s Academy. Local teens will have the opportunity to learn all about the Englewood Police Department and the department’s opportunity to create meaningful connections with Englewood teens. 

The academy will cover everything from traffic stops to crime scene investigation and SWAT response to police technology. This is an interactive, hands-on class and a great place to engage with officers and police staff.

The Academy is comprehensive in scope and covers many different areas of operation such as:

  • Crime Scene/Forensic Science
  • Code Enforcement
  • Overview Criminal Investigation
  • Shooting Simulation
  • Distracted Driving
  • Patrol Procedures
  • SWAT Overview
  • Fire Inspectors
  • Traffic
  • Drugs

Registration is limited to 30 participants. Participates must be entering ninth grade through their senior year of high school.  

Disclaimer: Law enforcement sensitive material will be presented and discussed during the academy.
