The Utilities Department is committed to providing the citizens of Englewood an adequate supply of high quality water, and operational wastewater and storm water collection systems at the lowest possible cost.  Water Quality Tests are conducted regularly to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulatory guidelines.

Pieter Van Ry is the Director of the Utilities Department, which is responsible for water and wastewater services for the City of Englewood.  This includes the Charles Allen Water Treatment Plant, raw water storage and delivery systems, the water distribution system, and the sanitary sewer collection system. Wastewater collected within the City is conveyed to the South Platte Renew (SPR) treatment facility. SPR is a joint venture between the City of Englewood and the City of Littleton.
