Art in Englewood

Art in Public Places Program

In 1998, Englewood City Council established the Art in Public Places program that allocates one percent (1%) of the City of Englewood's Capital Improvement Budget shall be deposited in an Art in Public Places reserve account to be used for acquiring, maintaining and commissioning art. Since its inception in 1998, the Cultural Arts Commission has built a significant public art collection that represents a variety of media, styles and themes that can be found throughout Englewood. The City of Englewood Cultural Arts Commission recognizes the value of placing art in the community that will reflect and enhance community and cultural values for current and future generations. Increased public access to art will promote understanding and awareness of the visual arts in the public environment.
