About the City Manager

Shawn Lewis began his tenure as Englewood City Manager in August, 2019. Since starting his career in 1999 as a management assistant to the city manager, Shawn has served in a variety of roles within municipal government in Texas and Colorado including downtown development manager, director of planning and development services, economic development director and assistant city manager before joining the City of Englewood. He has a bachelor of science in business communication from Lubbock Christian University and a masters in public policy from Pepperdine University. Shawn is passionate about transforming municipalities into high performance organizations that provide the highest quality of public service.

The City Manager oversees general operations for the City and is responsible for implementing policy decisions made by City Council. The City Manager and his staff work closely with other departments to help ensure responsiveness and the implementation of quality services and projects. This office also coordinates citizen relations, communications, and a variety of special projects.
