Home Repair and Improvement Program

The City of Englewood offers a Home Repair and Improvement Program to provide financial assistance to qualified City of Englewood homeowners for eligible home repairs and improvements. Eligible repairs and improvements  include health and safety improvements as required by City Code; ADA accessibility for seniors and disabled; emergency repairs/replacements of furnaces, hot water heaters, sewer line replacements, etc.; improvements that aid in flood proofing the property, and items identified in an issued property maintenance violation, and many other items.

To be eligible for the Program, the property must be owner occupied and the homeowner’s income may not exceed 100% of the Area Media Income (AMI) as determined by HUD each year. To provide funding to more Englewood homeowners, applicants are limited to applying every five years and any previous loan must be paid in full.

The Program offers a $1,000 grant for emergency repairs or a $10,000 deferred loan at zero percent for eligible home improvements.
