Come join the City of Englewood team as a summer intern!
The City of Englewood is a full service city providing services to hundreds of businesses, over 34,000 residents, and thousands of daily visitors. The city owns its own water park, golf course, 17 programmed parks, police department, and water utility, and a shared sewer utility with the City of Littleton. Other regional initiatives include homelessness assistance and mitigation and sustainability.
The city's strategic plan includes over 100 projects organized into seven outcomes the city hopes to achieve:
- Community Wellbeing - A city that provides satisfying opportunities for the vitality, enrichment, welfare, an happiness of the community
- Governance - A city government that serves the community by being efficient, effective, accountable, and adaptable Economy - A city that retains and supports existing businesses while attracting and promoting new business ventures
- Infrastructure and Transportation - A city that proactively and in a cost-effective manner invests in, maintains, improves, and plans to protect its infrastructure
- Neighborhoods - Vibrant engaged and connected neighborhoods as part of the Englewood community
- Safety - A city that protects and serves the community and its people with professionalism and responsiveness
- Sustainability - A city that stewards its resources for the benefit of current and future generations
The 750 full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees of the city are committed to working to achieve these outcomes and they are looking for a few great interns to help!
