The Englewood Police Department is led by Police Chief Sam Watson. The department consists of 78 sworn officer positions and is comprised of three divisions: Patrol Operations, Special Operations and Code Division, and Support Services.

Police Officer 1st Class - $112,322
Police Officer 2nd Class - $102,156
Police Officer 3rd Class - $96,995
Police Officer 4th Class - $84,541
Police Officer Probationary - $79,354

Hiring Requirements

Colorado P.O.S.T. certification or peace officer certification from another state
High school graduate or equivalent and 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours from an accredited university or college of college credit. A minimum of three years as a P.O.S.T. certified law enforcement officer serving in a patrol capacity may be substituted in lieu of the college credit requirement. Three or more years of active-duty military service with an Honorable Discharge may be substituted in lieu of the college credit requirement
Valid driver’s license and clear and/or acceptable motor vehicle record
