Do you know your neighbors? This grant is an opportunity for you to do just that! The grant is can be used for food, supplies or activities for a neighborhood get-together or event that builds community with your neighbors. The grant can be used for block parties, ice cream socials, neighborhood activities, etc.
Application
The grant application is closed. Applications for 2025 will open in Spring 2025.
Grant Details
- Grant Amounts: $100, $300 and $500
- Grants are approved on a first come first served basis.
- A block can receive the Get to Know Your Neighborhood grant 3 times per year.
- Applicant can receive the Get to Know Your Neighborhood grant once a year.
- Madeline Hinkfuss, Neighborhood Resources Coordinator, will be in touch within 10 days of application submission.
Requirements
- Please submit grant application one month before event is set to occur
- Within two weeks of the date of your event, please submit the following information to Madeline Hinkfuss:
- Completed Grant Evaluation Form
- All receipts from items purchased for the event
- At least 4 photos of the event
- The gift card containing any unused balance.
Please note: Grant funds can only be used to purchase food and non-alcoholic beverages to be served at the event. Supplies for games/activities/entertainment at the event (excluding fireworks or fire related supplies), and any other materials/equipment must be pre-approved by the Neighborhood Resources Coordinator and deemed necessary for hosting a successful event.
