Park Renovations

The City of Englewood's Parks, Recreation, Library and Golf Department strives to maintain the best parks and open spaces in the metro area to meet the needs and issues of the community. Below are park projects that are currently in the planning/design or construction phase or have recently been completed. Current Projects   

Bates/Logan Renovation Project
The Parks, Recreation, Library and Golf Department is excited to announce the redevelopment of Bates/Logan Park. The department has received two Arapahoe County Open Space grants for the renovation of the park. Construction on Phase I is completed and included a new pavilion, restroom, ADA improvements for pathways and parking lot and landscape improvements. Phase II began in August 2024 and will include an all-inclusive playground and new basketball court.

Past Projects

Baker, Centennial and Cushing Park Renovation Project

The City of Englewood renovated elements in Baker, Centennial and Cushing Park. Improvements included:      

Baker Park:

  • 2200 W. Wesley Ave.
  • New restroom, picnic shelter and playground
  • Walking Path

Centennial Park:

  • 4630 S. Decatur St.
  • New playground, restroom, picnic shelter (by playground) and basketball court

Cushing Park:

  • 700 W. Dartmouth Ave
  • New restroom, pavilion (Cushing #1 by playground), skate park and fitness court

Jason Park Amenity Improvements Project

The Parks, Recreation, Library and Golf Department received two grants through Arapahoe County Open Space for the Jason Park Amenity Improvement project. The project included a new pavilion, restroom, basketball court, irrigation improvements and playground.
