In most of our lives, there is a heartfelt desire to pass a legacy on to future generations. All of us would like to improve our quality of life and the lives of those around us. Now is the time to make those ideas real, and Malley Senior Recreation Center has options to help you plan a gift for the future. 

Memorial Donations

Memorial gifts are offered in remembrance of those who have passed and the memories that will not be forgotten. These gifts acknowledge donations made by family and friends signifying the importance of the Malley Senior Recreation Center to each member and the community. When individual contributions from family and friends collectively total $250 or more, the cumulative gift is acknowledged with a memorial board plaque. Memorial gifts can be an alternative to flowers and other items at the time of a loved one's funeral services. These gifts, made by family and friends, not only perpetuate the memory of a Malley member but are gratefully appreciated by the Malley Senior Recreation Center. Your memorial gift will be recognized with a name plaque on our Memorial Board located at the Malley Senior Recreation Center.

Why Malley?

Since opening in 1977, the Malley Senior Recreation Center has served thousands of senior citizens in the Englewood and surrounding communities. Participants enjoy a variety of educational, social and recreational activities enhancing their quality of life. The Center has become a national model for progressive approaches to senior recreation. Over the years, it became clear that funds beyond the annual operating budget were needed for future growth of the facility and programs. 

The Malley Center Trust Fund was established in 1981 for the exclusive use and benefit of the Malley Senior Recreation Center. This fund is managed by a five-member Board of Trustees. A gift to the Malley Center Trust Fund enables the Center to: Build a brighter future for your Malley Senior Recreation Center, augment and strengthen our activities and programs, upgrade facilities, and keep up with technology. Recently the Malley Center Trust Fund was a major contributor to the Malley Center 13,000 sq. ft. expansion which included a state of the art fitness center, gym, computer lab and additional classrooms. 

Other Ways to Contribute

If contributing to the Malley Center Trust Fund is something you are considering, there are other options available in addition to a Memorial Donation. A variety of planned contribution opportunities including bequests, life insurance plans, and charitable trusts are also ways to make a difference and leave a legacy for the future.
