Set in farm country outside the town of Claremore, Oklahoma Territory in 1906, it tells the story of a farm girl Laurey Williams and her courtship by two rival suitors, cowboy Curly McLain and the sinister and frightening farmhand Jud Fry. The Hydraulic Structures & Laboratory Services staff at the Denver Federal Center will talk to us about hydraulic modeling, analysis, and field-testing expertise to solve a variety of water resources, hydraulics and fluid mechanics problems. Responsible for the safety of Reclamation dams, managing and conserving water resources, constructing, operating and maintaining essential infrastructure; and protecting and restoring the environment. Snow Cat Ride- Winter Park
Monday, February 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Resident: $125/Non-Resident $130)
Take in the views on a snow cat sightseeing tour with views of Winter Park Resort, Fraser Valley, Vasquez Peak Wilderness and the Continental Divide. This 90-minute tour will explore varied terrain and your guide will touch on the history of the Winter Park resort and Fraser Valley and will make stops along the way for photos. Lunch on your own at the lodge after the tour. Accessibility to the tour cat is limited by a three-rung ladder and a gondola ride is required to access the snow cats. Dress for the cold weather because you will be walking in the snow and don’t forget your camera. No refunds after 2/14.
