The Traffic Enforcement Team is comprised of three traffic officers and an abandoned vehicle officer who are specifically assigned to traffic-related duties. Some of their responsibilities include the following:

  • Addressing citizen traffic concerns;
  • Enforcement at high accident locations and school zones; 
  • Special enforcement projects such as DUI saturation patrols and seat belt grants;
  • Attending community events such as Neighborhood Watch meetings, National Night Out and the annual 4th of July festivities;
  • Providing traffic-related education; 
  • Parking and abandoned vehicle enforcement. 

The Englewood Police Department also has two speed trailers which can be deployed throughout the city to help educate drivers about their speed. If you would like to request a speed trailer in your area, please call 303.762.2435.
