The Impact Team is assigned to the Englewood Police Department's Special Operations Division under the direction of the Special Operations Division Chief. The individuals selected for this unit are highly motivated and have demonstrated a proactive approach to preventing crime.

Members of the Impact Team use community policing as a means to better understand the needs of the community and create an information exchange corridor. Working with the EPD Senior Crime Analyst, the team is deployed in data driven hot spot locations to prevent criminal behavior as well as apprehend perpetrators and wanted individuals. The Impact Team works collaboratively with the Fire Marshal's Office, Code Enforcement and other entities to address a multitude of issues which results in an improved quality of life for citizens and visitors throughout the City of Englewood.
